Visa Airport Companion (VAC) App brings you luxury airport lounge access privileges, in partnerships with Dragon Pass.

 Starting October 1, 2024, you will need to be registered through the VAC App to access your Premium Visa credit card airport lounge benefits. Say hello to a new and enhanced way to access the airport lounges.

Effective October 1, 2024, VAC, provided by DragonPass, will replace the current airport lounge access program (lounge key). Cardholders will still be able to access the current airport lounge program via lounge key till September 30, 2024.

  • After the effective date, past memberships to lounge key will no longer be valid.
  • The app will be available at no cost from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

You can start downloading the VAC app as early as September 15, 2024, and register yourself.

Second step - 1

From the home page, the cardholder can select which airport they want to view the available lounges in.

The cardholder can then select one of the lounge options listed under ‘Benefits’ and the list of available lounges will be displayed.

To obtain more details about a specific lounge, the cardholder should select the lounge they are interested in.

The lounge details that will be presented will include images, opening hours, location, directions, amenities, along with a brief description.

Third step: Present your digital membership at the airport to access a lounge.

From the home page, the cardholder can select the membership button to be taken directly to their digital membership.

Present the digital membership at the lounge. The cardholder can use their lounge entitlements to gain entry or, if required, pay for themselves and their guests at the point of entry.

*To utilise the additional complimentary (additional) visits in the same calendar year (January to December), a client needs to make a minimum international spend (non-aed) of USD 1 or equivalent.

A: Cardholders will have access to their benefits immediately after successful registration. They will be able to view their entitlements and available airports lounges. To access a lounge after registration, all the cardholder needs to do is present their membership QR code upon arrival at an eligible lounge. The QR code can be found in the Membership section of the app.

A: Entry to any eligible lounge is subject to availability on the day the cardholder is travelling. The cardholder can view any alternative lounges in the VAC app. With the lounge coverage through DragonPass, VAC provides access to 1200+ lounges globally.

A: All UAE Standard credit cardholders are restricted from using more than one entitlement within a three-hour period.

A: If the cardholder does not have any complimentary lounge visits, they will be charged USD 32 per person per visit on their registered Visa card.

Note: This rate is subject to change and is only applicable if payment is made via the VAC app. Payment made directly to the lounge outside of VAC is subject to the lounge’s own walk-in rates.

A: Yes. Cardholders can view the status of their complimentary visits by logging into the VAC app at any time. The homepage and Membership sections will display the number of visits to which they are entitled. The app also provides a list of eligible lounges by airport, so the cardholder can plan which lounge(s) to visit during their travels.

A: Yes, cardholders can bring guests to lounges. Guests must be on the same flight. If the cardholder does not have any complimentary guest visits, they will have the option to bring guests for a charge of USD 32 per person per visit. The charge will be made directly to their registered Visa card.

A: Eligibility depends on the type of Visa card. Please check the eligibility of your Standard Chartered credit card, its allowed complimentary visit(s) and any condition linked to unlock the additional visits.

A: Yes. If a cardholder would like to get in touch, they can do so by selecting Contact which can be found under Account. If the cardholder is not registered or logged in, the contact form link can be found in the Help section of the Sign Up/Login screen.

  • Download and register with your Standard Chartered credit card on the Visa Airport Companion App to check your lounge access eligibility and personal benefits.
  • For Journey credit cardholders, the first two visits to the airport lounges in a calendar year is complimentary. To utilise the subsequent complimentary (additional) visits in the same calendar year (January to December), a client needs to make a minimum international spend of USD 1 or equivalent.
  • If the spend criteria is not met, any visits beyond the 2 complimentary visit, the cardholder will be charged USD 32 per usage on the used card.
  • The annual lounge visit entitlement and the requirement to meet the eligibility condition will reset from 1 January in subsequent years.
  • The benefit entitlement and spend condition is the same and apply on both primary and supplementary cards.
  • Download and register with your Standard Chartered credit card on the Visa Airport Companion App to check your lounge access eligibility and personal benefits.
  • First visit to the airport lounges in a calendar year is complimentary. To utilise the subsequent complimentary (additional) 7 visits in the same calendar year (January to December), a client needs to make a minimum international spend of USD 1 or equivalent.
  • If the spend criteria is not met, any visits beyond the 1 complimentary visit, the cardholder will be charged USD 32 per usage on the used card.
  • The annual lounge visit entitlement and the requirement to meet the eligibility condition will reset from 1 January in subsequent years.
