Practice Tests

Good numerical skills are important - especially in banking! Ability tests are used to measure skills that are relevant to the job position or responsibilities for which the candidate is being considered.

The SHL Numerical Reasoning Test is used in the assessment of an applicant's analytical ability in relation to numerical data. Excellent analytical skills are relevant to all graduate positions at Standard Chartered, hence we use an online assessment to measure these skills.

The test measures numerical reasoning skills in a business context and is based around tables and charts typical of business reports or the financial press.

Before you start the test there are some examples, completing these examples is not part of the test, there are no marks for these example questions and they are not timed - they are simply to help you to understand what to do. Once you have completed the example questions you will be ready to take the Numerical Ability Test.

It is important that you complete the SHL numerical reasoning practice questions before you complete the online assessment, as you will only have one opportunity to take this test and practising these questions can help you improve your score significantly.
