Liz Lloyd, CBE
Chief Investment Office of British International Investment
Liz Lloyd is the Chief Investment Officer at British International Investment. In this role Liz is responsible for overseeing BII’s overall investment strategy, asset allocation, portfolio management and investment decision making processes in order to ensure that BII makes and manages quality investments consistent with its dual mandate to deliver both development impact and a financial return.
Liz was previously at Standard Chartered, where she held senior positions including Group Company Secretary, CEO of Standard Chartered Bank Tanzania and Group Head of Public Affairs. Before that, she was Deputy Chief of Staff for Prime Minister Tony Blair and a senior adviser on Africa, Home Affairs and the Environment at No 10.
She received a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) medal in 2008.
