Marieta Mtawa

Marieta joined Standard Chartered Bank Tanzania in May 2016 in the Finance function. Since then, she has held a number of roles including Business Finance Analyst, Finance Operations Manager and Finance Reporting Manager in Regulatory and Tax. In March 2021, she joined Group Internal Audit as a Manager, Internal Audit.

Career

Marieta is a Certified Public Accountant with a strong background in Finance and Audit in the banking industry. She also has experience co-ordinating community initiatives such as Financial Education, an employee-led volunteering programme which falls under Futuremakers by Standard Chartered.

Prior to joining Standard Chartered, Marieta was a Corporate Auditor at FINCA Microfinance Bank Tanzania.

External appointments

Marieta is a permanent member of the Membership and Events Committee of the Tanzania Association of Women Certified Accountants (TAWCA).
