Talent Marketplace: Unleash your talent, realise your potential
Just as much as we want you to be successful in the role you’re hired into, we also want to help you access opportunities and connections, outside your core role. We’ll help you discover ways to fulfil your career goals, surface hidden talents, acquire new skills and unlock your potential.
Through our talent marketplace, you can build a bespoke talent profile. Share your existing skills and expertise, as well as any skills you’re keen to develop. Our talent marketplace will take it from there. Using AI, the platform matches you to opportunities outside your day job. You’ll be able to put yourself forward for projects and opportunities from different markets and teams and connect with mentors across our network.
What do we gain?
Your passion and energy to explore opportunities around your core role, provides us with diversity of thought, and a greater capacity to solve some of our most complex problems. We want to provide an inclusive and visible way for everyone, regardless of working location to explore opportunities and connect with mentors.
Together, we can harness your unique talents and make a positive difference for you and our clients.

What we expect of our Leaders
How we support our leaders
We invest in our People Leader’s personal development across the whole bank, with programmes and initiatives sponsored by our core management team. We inspire our managers to build lasting, collaborative and meaningful relationships with each other and ensure you’re supported, inspired and recognised. These values are then passed on to the next generation of talent within the organisation.
More than 10,800 employees have completed learning courses for future skills that we need – including analytics, data, digital and cyber.
The act of leading is hard
We’re looking for individuals who have the right leadership abilities across people management, governance and collaboration, as well as a genuine passion to develop their people. In return, we can offer outstanding opportunities for the right candidate.
Whether you’re leading people, a product, or clients, our people look to you for answers and put their trust in you to lead. To achieve our full potential of being ‘here for good’ we need people who embody our valued behaviours of never settling, being better together and doing the right thing. This is even truer for our leaders, who we need to role model, not just live our valued behaviours.
This requires leaders who can:
- Aspire – So others are encouraged to never settle
- Inspire – To get the most our of our talent and deliver better together
- Execute – with determination and purpose, making it easier to get things done, but critically doing the right thing.
Leaders, leading together
Our Leadership Agreement sets out the behaviours we believe will drive excellent business performance and create the kind of workplace we can all be proud of. We don’t expect everyone to be immediate experts, but we do expect our leaders to be human, make mistakes, and to learn.
Our Leadership Council, chaired by Mary Huen is comprised of colleagues from different businesses, geographies and seniority, to help us have the biggest impact from our collective leadership. We have a unique and dynamic leadership to enable our leaders to bring the best of their abilities to create shared economic value in some of the world’s most exciting economies and communities.
We believe there is no substitution for the experience of leading every day, and provide a range of communities, tools, and support to help our leaders get better every day. This includes on-demand coaching either through our specialist providers, or our internal network of Ignite coaches as well as daily nudges on how to improve your leadership health.
Regular 360 and structured sentiment feedback from our people helps our leaders understand the leadership impact they’re having and how they can improve how they lead. Leaders at all levels have access to innovative learning solutions that simulate what it takes to lead for people, planet and profit in the global economy alongside on-demand learning resources tailored to their unique needs.
For our enterprise leaders we have a tailored development track to help them embrace and act in the disruptive world around them. We believe the best learning is done together with other leaders, with access to coaching from senior leaders and reverse mentoring from colleagues.
