In the UAE, we opened our first branch in 1958 in Sharjah

In the UAE, we opened our first branch in 1958 in Sharjah, and for over 65 years, Standard Chartered has proudly been an integral part of the UAE’s landscape, serving customers and clients while supporting their growth and prosperity. Leveraging the UAE’s strategic position at the crossroads of major global trade routes, along with our extensive expertise and international network, we are uniquely positioned to connect the East and the West, facilitating opportunities and fostering economic development.

We are running all of our regional businesses from the UAE hub, along with some of our global business, such as the Islamic Banking arm, Standard Chartered Saadiq.

Our offices are strategically located at the heart of Dubai’s financial district (Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and Downtown Dubai) and in Abu Dhabi Global Markets (ADGM), and our branches can be found in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Al Ain.
