What advice would you give to students looking for a role?
You don’t need to be an expert in what you do, remember you are just starting out in your career, so don’t be afraid to admit when you don’t know something. As long as you have the right attitude and willingness to learn, then people will be willing to invest their time in you to help you succeed.
What do you love most about working at Standard Chartered?
The people and culture. It sounds cliché but we have such a diverse populate of SCB employees and on a daily basis you will interact with so many colleagues from different backgrounds and locations and everyone is really friendly, regardless of their seniority.
How can applicants prepare for our recruitment process?
Do your research. Find out information about the bank – our values, who we are and what we do, as well as the role you are applying for. Put some time aside to really focus on your application - we want you to be fully prepared when you apply.
