Piloting carbon removals with British Airways

In December, we partnered with industry leaders to help create a blueprint to provide debt financing for carbon removals.
The pilot, which is the first of its kind, aims to ease carbon removals suppliers’ reliance on bespoke financing structures, which can create a financing bottleneck.
As part of the pilot, which was launched at COP28 in UAE, we will work alongside CUR8, which creates markets for carbon removal, carbon dioxide removal project developer UNDO and British Airways.
We’re excited by the opportunity to partner with such mission-aligned counterparties to develop this financing structure in hopes that it will support more providers to scale up and be able to access a greater quantum of capital to remove carbon, at pace.
