What it’s like to train the Liverpool FC way
Discover what happened when the Reds returned to Singapore for their 2023 Summer Tour
The two matches, part of the Singapore Trophy series, marked Liverpool FC’s return to Singapore. Last year, the Reds beat fellow Premier League side Crystal Palace 3-0 to win the Singapore Trophy and we were excited to welcome the team back for the second year in a row.
This year, Liverpool FC beat Leicester City 4-0 and narrowly lost 4-3 to Bayern, but the on-pitch activities were just part of this year’s tour.
The Reds had a packed calendar putting on an open training session, with twenty lucky competition winners spending time with the players taking photos and getting autographs.
For our children’s LFC soccer clinic with legends Lucas Leiva and Martin Skrtel, LFC Foundation coaches taught kids from the community how to play ‘The Liverpool Way’.
In addition, Liverpool FC Manager Jürgen Klopp and current players Alisson Becker and Harvey Elliott took part in a fireside chat hosted by Simon Cooper our Corporate, Commercial & Institutional Banking, Chief Executive. The session, ‘On the pitch: Mentality Giants’, was attended by our clients who shared a lunch with Klopp and his players.
