Alvin Tang

Alvin Tang is the Managing Director and Head of FI Sales for Greater China and North Asia at Standard Chartered Bank. 

Based in Hong Kong, Alvin leads a dynamic sales team across China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, and Japan, focusing on the Financial Institutions segment in Transaction Banking. In this role, he is responsible for driving strategic sales initiatives, delivering tailored transaction banking solutions, and fostering robust client relationships across the regions. 

Before joining Standard Chartered Bank, Alvin held the position of Head of FI and NBFI – North Asia for Bank of America Global Payment Services, where he managed treasury services sales across Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, and Korea. He has held several roles throughout his career, including positions in Product Management, Treasury Operations, Project Management, Client Fulfilment, at Bank of America. 

With over 25 years of experience in the banking industry, Alvin brings extensive expertise and a proven track record in leading sales teams and delivering client-centric solutions. He is also a qualified Cert-ICM with distinction, awarded by the Association of Corporate Treasurers (ACT).
