Asad Dar

Asad has over 15 years of banking experience with SCB within the Correspondent Banking business spread across various countries in the broader Africa & Middle East Region. He has covered markets like Pakistan, UAE, Oman and Qatar before moving to South Africa in his current role last year. In the current role, Asad is responsible for the Correspondent Banking business for the Southern Africa cluster on the continent with focus on the cash management and trade finance business. In his role, Asad also works with teams and stakeholders to manage the Compliance & Finance Crime Risks spread across the cluster.

Asad holds a Bachelors in Business Administration degree from the Institute of Business Management – Karachi (Pakistan) and was born in Amman (Jordan) in a Pakistani family. He currently lives as an expat in Johannesburg (South Africa) with his family (wife and 3 kids). As a hobby he is passionate about Cricket, loves travelling and to spend time with family and friends.
