Byron Gardiner

Based in Singapore, Byron has more than 20 years of international treasury experience; the last 15 of which have been focused primarily on the Asia Pacific region. On the practitioner side, he established and led the APAC treasury teams for Oracle and Symantec and was most recently a treasury director at Huawei Technologies, where he was responsible for transforming the company’s global treasury operations. His experience extends to the set-up of RTC, SSC and payment factory operations, and the creation of sophisticated liquidity overlay projects. He has managed bank relationships, cash forecasting and investment, as well as advising on JV and M&A projects. Gardiner has also held senior positions with Merrill Lynch Treasury in London and with ANZ Banking Group in Sydney. He joined Standard Chartered in January 2013 from Acarate Treasury Consulting.
