Chow Wan Thonh

Wan Thonh is Head of Banking & Coverage for Singapore and ASEAN. In this role, she is responsible for overseeing client relationships and driving business growth by ensuring seamless delivery of the Bank’s services, solutions and product offerings to its Corporate and Investment Banking clients.

Since joining Standard Chartered Bank in February 2019 as Head of Global Banking, Singapore, Wan Thonh soon assumed expanded responsibility for Client Coverage across ASEAN and South Asia. In February 2021, she was appointed Global Head, Global Industries Group, which includes Industry Coverage and M&A Advisory teams, to oversee the delivery of a full suite of strategic solutions to the Bank’s clients in key sectors.

Wan Thonh has over 25 years of experience in the banking industry, holding a number of senior leadership roles in international banks across transaction banking, capital markets and strategic advisory for corporate and institutional clients. She joined Standard Chartered from HSBC, where she was Head of Global Banking, Singapore and Head of Corporates, Financials and Multinationals Banking for Southeast Asia since 2016. Prior to that, Wan Thonh had a 15-year career at Citibank where she held senior positions including Head of Financial Institutions and Head of Sales for Transaction Banking Services.

Based in Singapore, Wan Thonh is a member of the Client Coverage Management Team. She is also Non-Executive Director of the Board of Directors of Standard Chartered Bank (Vietnam) Limited. She is a Singaporean and holds a Bachelor’s degree in business administration from the National University of Singapore.
