Darrell Ryman

Darrell Ryman was appointed as interim Group Chief Operating Officer on 5 September 2024, having joined the Group in March 2023. He is based in Hong Kong.

Experience

Darrell is an accomplished executive with over thirty years of technical and business leadership. His experience as a Chief Information Officer, Chief Technology Officer and Chief Operating Officer combined with his business acumen as a Managing Director, Chief Executive Officer and General Manager has resulted in increased productivity and sustainable growth for organisations and clients in a multitude of industry verticals across multiple continents. Throughout his career, Darrell has successfully established, brought to scale, and operated businesses in Europe, North Asia, South Asia, and Australia.

Career

Darrell joined the Group as Chief Technology Officer for Asia and was subsequently appointed as Global Head of Global Business Services and Cluster Markets, with responsibility for shaping and transforming the technology and operational delivery capability for all lines of business across the Group’s shared service centres. Prior to joining the Group, Darrell held CIO roles at AXA covering the UK, Ireland, Hong Kong, Macau and the Greater Bay Area and served on the Board of AXA Technology Services and held business, technology and Board roles at Avanade in China, Hong Kong, Australia and Japan.
