Freddy Ong

Freddy Ong was appointed as the Head of Client Coverage, Corporate and Investment Banking, Singapore in July 2021 and is a member of the Country Management team. In this role, he is responsible for driving and executing the strategy for Standard Chartered’s Corporate and Investment Banking business as well as deepening relationships with the Bank’s corporate and institutional clients in Singapore. Freddy joined Standard Chartered in 2009 and was previously Head, International Corporates, Singapore, during which he managed relationships with the Bank’s largest Singapore corporate clients. He has almost 20 years of experience in the banking industry, having held a number of senior leadership roles in Standard Chartered across various product segments and client coverage, as well as investment banking other financial institutions where he helped build their franchises in China, India and ASEAN. Freddy is Singaporean and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy from Nanyang Technological University.
