Gilbert Ayoub

Gilbert has been with Standard Chartered Bank more than 14 years. He joined Standard Chartered in Dubai in July 2009 as part of the international graduate program. Post the completion of the graduate program Gilbert joined the transaction banking sales team covering the Lebanese market. In February 2012, he re-joined the UAE team covering international corporates and large local corporates in Dubai and Abu Dhabi within transaction banking. Since 2017, Gilbert has been heading the correspondent banking sales team covering the Northern Gulf.

In his current role, Gilbert is responsible for managing Correspondent Banking business for Bank clients of Standard Chartered Bank in the Middle East region based in Dubai. He heads a regional sales team covering 4 countries: Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait and Iraq covering clearing services, cash management and trade finance solutions.

Gilbert has been involved in several thought leadership and product innovation initiatives in the region with the dual objective of enhancing business collaboration for Standard Chartered with the region’s financial institutions as well as looking at avenues to manage risks inherent in the business in a more proactive manner.
