Growing our business in the longer term

Today we held an Analyst and Investor Day in London, where we shared our perspective on our markets and businesses, and explained how we are responding to the current environment.

The key themes that we covered were:

• The long term opportunity for our business is compelling
• We are confident in our markets and our competitive strengths
• We are taking action to respond to near term challenges, sharpening our focus and refining investment priorities
• We are targeting profitable growth
• We are reiterating our strong foundations, strong liquidity, a focus on capital and tightly managing both risk and costs
• We outlined five big goals for the business: Relationships; Trade; Investment; Wealth Management; Priority Market Scale.
