Sale of Private Equity portfolio completed

London. Standard Chartered PLC has completed the previously announced sale of the majority of its private equity investment portfolio to Intermediate Capital Group’s Strategic Equity funds.

Affirma Capital, a newly formed, independent private equity firm owned and operated by former members of the management team of Standard Chartered Private Equity, now manages the portfolio and related investment activities.

The portfolio comprises private equity investments in approximately 35 companies across Southeast Asia, India, China, South Korea, the Middle East and Africa.
