Standard Chartered announces independent consultant term ended, business restrictions are no longer in effect

London – Standard Chartered PLC announces that, as of 31 December 2019, the term of the Independent Consultant, appointed by the New York State Department of Financial Services (“NY DFS”) pursuant to the 21 November 2018 Second Supplemental Consent Order, terminated and the business restrictions previously imposed by the NY DFS (specifically, the prohibitions, obligations, and suspensions set forth in paragraphs 7, 8, and 9 of the19 August 2014 Consent Order) are no longer in effect.
