Standard Chartered appoints David Hardoon as Global Head of AI Enablement
Singapore – Standard Chartered today announced the appointment of David Hardoon as Global Head of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Enablement with immediate effect. This appointment reinforces the Bank’s commitment to leveraging advanced analytics and AI to drive innovation and maintain its competitive edge in the industry. Based in Singapore, David reports to Mohammed Rahim, Group Chief Data Officer, Standard Chartered.
David brings over 22 years of experience and a proven track record in leading data and AI across various sectors including Banking, Advisory, Government, and Education. Notably, he played a pivotal role in developing the AI strategy for the Monetary Authority of Singapore through promoting open, cross-border data flows and the adoption of data and AI in accordance with the Fairness, Ethics, Accountability and Transparency (FEAT) principles across Singapore’s financial sector.
In his new role, David will be responsible for building robust AI capabilities and governance within the Chief Data Office, while promoting data analytics and identifying opportunities across the Bank where AI can add significant value, streamline processes, and deliver impactful client experiences.
