Standard Chartered appoints Monica Malone as Head of Banks & Broker Dealers, Americas

Appointment is latest hire as Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB) grows financial institutional business

New York, Singapore – Standard Chartered announced the appointment of Monica Malone as Head of Banks & Broker Dealers (BBD), Americas, CIB. Based in New York, U.S., she reports to Jerry Zhang and Molly Duffy, Co-Heads of Financial Institutions (FI) Coverage, CIB, and is a member of the FI Coverage Management Team.

In this role, Monica is responsible for strengthening the coverage of FI clients, particularly U.S.-headquartered clients who conduct business globally. By deepening the Bank’s client connectivity, she will strengthen the resilient BBD business in the Americas. Monica’s appointment is effective as of 15 July.

A seasoned leader in working with clients across all FI segments, Monica brings deep expertise of over 20 years working with financial institutions. She joins from Santander, where she was the Head of FIG, Corporate and Investment Banking, for the United States and Canada. Previously, she was at UBS, where she worked with key institutional clients across North and Latin America.
