London – Standard Chartered PLC (the “Company”) today announces that Adrian De Souza will be appointed as its new Group Company Secretary from 5 May 2022.

Mr De Souza succeeds Amanda Mellor who left the Company on 23 December 2021. Scott Corrigan has been Interim Group Company Secretary since 24 December 2021.

Mr De Souza, a qualified lawyer, joins the Company on 3 May 2022 from the FTSE 250 pan African fuel retailer, Vivo Energy PLC, where he is currently General Counsel and responsible for the Company Secretarial, Governance and Ethics & Compliance functions.
