We’ve appointed Anshu Sharma Raja as Chief Information Officer, Consumer, Private & Business Banking

Singapore – Standard Chartered (the Group) today announced the appointment of Anshu Sharma Raja as Chief Information Officer, Consumer, Private & Business Banking (CPBB). She will be based in Singapore, reporting to Group Chief Information Officer Michael Gorriz from 1 August 2021, subject to regulatory approval.

Paul Macpherson, who has served as Chief Information Officer, CPBB since 2018, will be leaving to pursue opportunities outside the Bank.

Anshu joined the bank in September 2018 and in her current role as Global Head, Retail Banking Products Technology, has successfully led and delivered the modernisation of our digital platform for individual and business banking clients. In her additional role leading Technology & Innovation in our Global Business Services locations, she has been instrumental in setting up a high performing engineering centre in Bangalore, and strengthening technology and innovation capabilities and engineering talent across our tech development centres in India, China and Malaysia. Anshu is a passionate diversity champion and continues to be an ambassador and mentor for our talent development efforts.
