We’ve appointed Daniel Furer as Head of Discretionary Portfolio Management & Asset Allocation

Singapore – Standard Chartered (“the Bank”) has appointed Daniel Furer as Head of Discretionary Portfolio Management & Asset Allocation. He joins the Bank today and reports to Steve Brice, Global Chief Investment Officer.

In this new role, Daniel will oversee the Bank’s Chief Investment Office Fund and Flagship Portfolios business, customised mandates and asset allocation solutions. He will also drive the adoption of portfolio strategies through frontline and client engagement. Daniel will be based in Singapore.

Daniel joins the Bank from Credit Suisse, where he held various roles within Asset Management and Investment Management from 2007. In his last position as Head of Investment Management Singapore and Business Development Asia, he successfully led the team in delivering discretionary asset management services to private banking and institutional clients in Asia.

Steve Brice said, “Daniel’s wealth of experience and demonstrated leadership will help Standard Chartered strengthen its position as Asia’s trusted international wealth manager. He will play a key role in enhancing our portfolio management strategies and deepen our capability in providing clients with wealth advice that matters.”
