We’ve appointed Paul Skelton as Global Head of Banking
Standard Chartered has appointed Paul Skelton as Global Head of Banking. Paul will start his role in December 2016 and will report to Simon Cooper, CEO, Corporate and Institutional Banking. He will be based in Singapore.
Paul is a 30-year banking veteran with extensive experience dealing with corporate and institutional clients in Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific. He joins Standard Chartered from HSBC where he was most recently Regional Head of Commercial Banking for their Asia Pacific business. In a 28-year career with HSBC, he has held a number of senior wholesale banking appointments including Regional Head of Commercial Banking Middle East and North Africa, Regional Head of Global Banking Middle East and North Africa and Deputy Head of Global Banking Asia Pacific.
In this newly created role, Paul will be responsible for the Group’s large corporate and financial institution client relationships. He will join the Corporate and Institutional Banking Management Team and work with the Bank’s coverage teams to drive deeper client relationships.
