Standard Chartered strengthens its leadership team in Paris to support growth in Continental Europe

Paris, March 5, 2025.  Standard Chartered announces two key appointments in Paris to support the rapid development of its activities in Continental Europe and strengthen its strategic expertise to better serve its clients.

Jean-Baptiste Chambaud has been appointed Head of Markets for Standard Chartered Bank AG (SCB AG*) effective March 1, 2025. He will hold this position alongside his current role as Head of Corporate Sales for Continental Europe. Jean-Baptiste will remain in Paris.

Jean-Philippe Pereire is joining Standard Chartered Bank AG to lead the development of structured credit sales. He will be responsible for expanding structured credit activities, financing solutions, and origination to enhance Standard Chartered’s presence in Continental Europe.

Jean-Baptiste Chambaud joined Standard Chartered in 2014. He has over 15 years of experience in risk management for large European multinational corporations, particularly in Forex, interest rates, and commodities. He was appointed Head of Corporate Sales for Europe in 2023. Before joining Standard Chartered, Jean-Baptiste spent five years at Royal Bank of Scotland, where he held roles in structured interest rate solutions and later on the Forex desk for large European corporations.

Jean-Philippe Pereire has over 15 years of experience in market activities and financing. After spending five years at Credit Suisse, he joined Goldman Sachs Global Banking & Markets, where he worked for 11 years, developing expertise in private financing, structured transactions, and institutional asset distribution. From 2021 to 2023, he founded and managed a real estate company in London, further expanding his entrepreneurial and financial expertise.
