Standard Chartered appoints key hire in Europe

Emmanuel Lemoine heads Transaction Banking Trade Sales, Continental Europe

27 March 2023, London, UK / Paris, France – Standard Chartered has strengthened its Transaction Banking Sales Europe team with the hire of Emmanuel Lemoine, who joined on 20 March as Head of Transaction Banking Trade Sales for Continental Europe.

Emmanuel reports to Marion Reuter, Regional Head of Transaction Banking Sales UK and Europe. Emmanuel is a seasoned banker with nearly 30 years of experience across the full span of origination and structuring capabilities stretching the whole Trade and Export Finance product spectrum.

In this newly created role, Emmanuel will be based in Paris and manage the Trade Sales coverage and origination in Continental Europe. He will also support senior client discussions and lead the coordination on major Trade Request for Proposals (RFPs) in Continental Europe.

Prior to joining Standard Chartered, Emmanuel was part of Société Générale’s Export Finance team, and held roles at ANZ Investment Bank, Thales’ Project, Export & Trade Finance team, Citi’s Trade Sales team, and most recently Head of Structured Export Finance for France at ING.
