The inaugural Standard Chartered Digital Banking, Innovation and Fintech Festival was curated for stakeholders in the financial services industry to showcase Ghana’s digital infrastructure and the strides the country has made on its digitalisation journey.

This year’s event shifted focus to Africa’s digital transformation by engaging local and international players who are powering Africa’s digital transformative agenda. Themed “Powering Africa’s Digital Economy: Platforms | Players | Policy”.

The two (2) day hybrid event was held on 26th and 27th October 2022 and brought together seasoned experts and practical FinTech innovators from Singapore, other parts of Asia as well as Africa to showcase, engage, strategise and discuss policies. The festival witnessed over thirty (30) seasoned speakers and innovators who came together to canvas the best approaches to improve Africa’s digital economy as the continent drives towards a future proof and dynamic digitized financial ecosystem.

Held in collaboration with SC Ventures (Innovation and Fintech Investment Unit of Standard Chartered), the physical event took place at Movenpick Ambassador Hotel, Accra. Virtual participation was across social media and events app – Hopin.

This year’s festival was opened by H.E. Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana.
