Complimentary Air Ticket for the Companion

As a Sri Lankan Airlines Standard Chartered Platinum cardholder you would be entitled for a complimentary air ticket for your companion upon reaching the minimum spend during a 12 month period.

How it works

Based on your spend threshold you can chose any one of the options below;

  • Buy one economy class ticket and get one complimentary economy ticket for your companion OR;
  • Buy one business class and an economy class ticket and have a complimentary upgrade of the economy ticket to business class.Please refer below the spend thresholds and the destinations on offer.

500,000 – 749,999 Trichy, Trivandrum, Madurai, Cochin, Chennai, Bangalore
750,000 – 949,999 Above + Male, Gan Island
950,000 – 1,249,999 Above + Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Kathmandu, Karachi, Lahore, Dhaka
1,250,000 – 1,999,999 Above + Bangkok, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta
2,000,000 – 2,999,999 Above + Guangzhou, Riyadh, Dammam, Kuwait, Abu Dhabi, Doha, Dubai,
3,000,000 and above Above + London, Melbourne, Sydney, Frankfurt, Paris, Tokyo, Seoul

Credit Card membership anniversary period

Credit Card spend for a period of 12 months (Up to 12 months for the 1st annual cycle) from the card opening month will be considered. The destinations will be decided according to the spend category.

**The cycle will continue from year 2 onwards as shown above.

  • The validity of the voucher will be for 6 months upon issuance.
  • The cardholder has to purchase the Sri Lankan Airlines economy class return air ticket to selected destinations using the Sri Lankan Airlines Standard Chartered Platinum Card to be eligible to redeem the complimentary companion air ticket or the complimentary business class upgrade vouchers.
  • Spends thresholds of primary cardholders will be considered eligible for the companion ticket, eligible card holders will receive an email from SriLankan Airlines FlySmiLes Team.

When travelling on SriLankan Airlines, you can take advantage of an extra baggage allowance of 12kg above what is shown on your ticket. Effective 1st June 2018, extra baggage allowance will be restricted to 10Kg on 6 occasions within the credit card membership period
