Standard Chartered Bank in collaboration with INNOVentures Global (Private) Limited has launched the Standard Chartered Women in Tech Programme.

The Standard Chartered Women in Tech programme is aimed at supporting technology enabled, women-led businesses, creating diversity in tech and offering women opportunities to develop entrepreneurial and leadership expertise. This programme will support early-to-mid stage professionals through critical funding, and mentorship.

Through this programme the Bank will:

  • Provide women founders insightful trainings and mentorship, imparting knowledge on global project organisation, network building and investment readiness
  • Help build capacity, and improve business outputs of existing businesses
  • Share insights on women entrepreneurship in Pakistan with the industry
  • Identify actions needed to improve women’s access to technological infrastructure
  • Establish a foundation for strengthening cooperation and network building between technology enabled women-led businesses globally

Who we are looking for?

We are seeking to recruit the best entrepreneurial minds, female-led businesses of two to three people who are enabled by technology and are key drivers of innovation in business. Applicants are welcome from across Pakistan.

Eligibility Criteria:

Must be a female-led business

  • At least 1/3rd of the founders should be women,
  • Woman founder(s) has/have been around for at least six months.

Must be a technology venture or a traditional business seeking to use technology to grow significantly.

Significant Growth and/or Impact potential.

Must have an initial plan to scale or be technologically enabled to scale by using the seed grant, mentoring and other support.

The bank’s investment in the business/venture must make a material difference.

Be a registered entity (a private limited company, a non-profit, or a sole proprietorship) with an NTN operating for:

  • No less than 6 months at the time of application,
  • No more than 5 years old at the time of application
