Przemysław Jaroszewski has joined the cybersecurity team of Standard Chartered bank

Przemysław Jaroszewski has been appointed as a VP, Incident Response at Standard Chartered, one of the leading international banks that is constantly developing its global cybersecurity competence center in Poland. Przemysław Jaroszewski’s main tasks will include overseeing, implementing and developing Standard Chartered’s global incident response strategy to protect the bank’s customer data, handling potential incidents and improving the overall resilience of the organization to possible cyber risks.

From NASK PIB to Standard Chartered

Przemysław Jaroszewski is a recognized cybersecurity expert with over fifteen years of experience. His previous experience included, among others, being the manager of the CERT Polska (Computer Emergency Response Team) at NASK PIB, where he coordinated the process of responding to large-scale incidents and cooperation with stakeholders, e.g. with the Chancellery of the Polish Prime Minister. He also represented NASK PIB during meetings of working teams organized by FIRST, ENISA and CSIRT.

This is another Polish cybersecurity expert who strengthened Standard Chartered in this area. In recent years, the bank’s team has been joined by, inter alia, Adam Lange (head of the Cyber Threat Hunting team), Marcin Ludwiszewski (head of the ‘Purple Team’), Krystian Szybis (head of the Penetration Testing team) or Cezary Piekarski, who after helding managerial positions, from 2021 took the position of Global Head, Cyber Security Services .

As a result, Standard Chartered has built a strong team of cybersecurity experts in Poland, which implements global projects in this area, thus protecting its clients around the world. Currently, the bank employs nearly 1,000 employees, of which almost 200 work in cybersecurity area.

Since the beginning of 2019, Standard Chartered has been building its global cybersecurity competence center in Poland. The bank’s team is constantly growing, recruiting experts who cover such areas as malware protection, cyber threat detection, cyber intelligence, penetration testing, identity management, access, risk, controls, cloud and network security, incident response, security and data management.
