What drives you?
Passion fuels me and is at the core of all that I do. Knowing that I can make an impact challenges me to be a better version of myself, both personally and professionally. Beyond that, having a supportive network and conducive environment gives me the room to test, learn and grow.
How have you grown with the Bank?
I’ve become more confident of myself – not afraid of sharing my ideas and opinions, and I feel my perspectives in life have matured. Plus, I don’t have to shy away from my passion for sustainability. In fact, being in a workplace that openly advocates that has given me the courage to take the lead in these topics and conversations.
What are your favourite moments in the Bank?
It must be the time when my colleagues came to support my singing gig and even brought banners! I was very touched by their gesture – to me, it feels nice to be able share the other part of me with my work friends.
How do you balance the different roles in your life?
Practise time management. This is only possible with supportive and understanding people around me at work and at home.
Your advice to people looking to join the banking industry?
Look beyond any preconceived notions – what’s important is the willingness to learn and grow. As you open your heart and mind to new challenges, soon you’ll find being entrusted with opportunities that expand your horizon.
Describe with three words what it’s been like working in the Bank.
Nurturing. Eye-opening. Exciting.
