Cessation of Credit Card PIN Mailer - Frequently Asked Questions

  • We will no longer be sending credit card PIN mailers to clients from 10 November 2018.

    To set your credit card PIN, you will need to log in to Online Banking or Standard Chartered Mobile app. Please follow the steps below for Credit Card PIN set or PIN change:

    Step 1: Log in to Online Banking / Standard Chartered Mobile app

    Step 2:  Select “Help & Services”

    Step 3: Select “Credit Card Activation & PIN set” or “Credit Card PIN Change”

    Step 4: Follow on-screen instructions

    Step 5: Once successful, you card will be activated and the PIN is set

  • This provides you with greater flexibility and convenience as you can set and change your PIN through Online Banking and/or Standard Chartered Mobile app anytime, anywhere.

  • We will no longer be sending credit card PIN mailers to clients from 10 November 2018.

    To set your own credit card PIN, you will need to log in to Online Banking or Standard Chartered Mobile app. Please follow the steps below for Credit Card PIN set or PIN change:

    Step 1: Log in to Online Banking / Standard Chartered Mobile app

    Step 2:  Select “Help & Services”

    Step 3: Select “Credit Card Activation & PIN set” or “Credit Card PIN Change”

    Step 4: Follow on-screen instructions

    Step 5: Once successful, you card will be activated and the PIN is set

    Alternatively, you can visit any Standard Chartered branch to change / set credit card PIN at the counter.

  • To reset username / password via Online Banking or Standard Chartered Mobile app, please select “Forgot Username or Password” and follow the instructions.

    Once your username / password has been reset, you can log in to your account and follow the steps below for Credit Card PIN set or PIN change:

    Step 1: Log in to Online Banking / Standard Chartered Mobile app

    Step 2:  Select “Help & Services”

    Step 3: Select “Credit Card Activation & PIN set” or “Credit Card PIN Change”

    Step 4: Follow on-screen instructions

    Step 5: Once successful, you card will be activated and the PIN is set

  • To activate your replaced credit card and request for PIN set, you will need to log in to Online Banking or Standard Chartered Mobile app. Please follow the steps below for Credit Card activation and PIN set:

    Step 1: Log in to Online Banking / Standard Chartered Mobile app

    Step 2: Select “Help & Services”

    Step 3: Select “Credit Card Activation and PIN set”

    Step 4: Follow on-screen instructions

    Step 5: Once successful, you card will be activated and the PIN is set

  • Yes, you can do so through either of the below options.

    Option 1:

    Visit Online Banking / Standard Chartered Mobile app and enter “Card Activation” at the pre-login page.  Follow the on-screen instructions and only your credit card will be activated.

    OR

    Option 2:

    SMS ACTname on cardlast 4-digits of card number to 75722.

    Note: SMS to +6596176495 if you are overseas or using an international phone number.

  • To re-set your credit card PIN, you will need to log in to Online Banking or Standard Chartered Mobile app.

    For more information on the Credit Card PIN reset, please follow the steps below:

    Step 1: Log in to Online Banking / Standard Chartered Mobile app

    Step 2: Select “Help & Services”

    Step 3: Select “Credit Card PIN Change”

    Step 4: Follow on-screen instructions

    Step 5: Once successful, you card will be activated and the PIN is set

    Alternatively, you can visit our nearest branch to change / set credit card PIN at the counter.

  • The change / reset of your credit card PIN is immediate.
