      Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Why is the e-Cashier’s Order issuance option being removed?

e-Cashier’s Orders involve a longer processing time compared to some of the near real-time digital payment capabilities that are currently available. In order to increase efficiency and reduce manual intervention, the Bank has made the decision to remove this facility from its digital platforms.

How will this change or affect the payees that I added for the issuance of e-Cashier’s Orders?

The payees that you added on Online Banking and the SC Mobile App will be deleted after 22 November 2021. Please refer to the table above for alternative digital payment options.

Will my e-Cashier’s Orders issued prior to 22 November 2021 be impacted?

There will be no impact to any e-Cashier’s Orders issued before 22 November 2021 and they will be processed as per the instructions provided.

If the beneficiary still requires a Cashier’s Order, how can I get one issued?

You can visit any of our branches to request for a Cashier’s Order. Please refer to page 12 of our Pricing Guide for the related fees and charges.
