Changes to Manhattan Credit Card Interest Rate FAQs

With effect from 6 December 2024, there will be a revision to the interest rate of your Manhattan Credit Card to 27.9% per annum.

The revised interest rate will be used for calculation of finance charges on the outstanding amount on your Manhattan Credit Card and will be effective from your next statement cycle.

  1. How will the change in Effective Interest Rate (“EIR”) impact me?

If payment is not made in full by your Manhattan credit card’s due date, finance chances will be calculated at 27.9% per annum (on a daily basis at 0.076%) from the respective transaction dates for all transactions to the date the payment is received.

  1. Will there be changes to any other Manhattan credit card fees and charges?

There will be no changes to all other applicable fees and charges. For more details on these, please refer to our pricing guide here.

  1. What will be the EIR for my supplementary credit card(s)?

All supplementary Manhattan credit card(s) will follow the same EIR assigned to the principal credit card.

  1. How long will I be tagged to the revised EIR?

The revised EIR applies perpetually for your Manhattan credit card. In the event of any future changes, you will be informed minimally 30 days before the new EIR is effective.

  1. I currently have a Manhattan credit card and another Standard Chartered credit card. Will there be a difference in EIR between the 2 cards?

The EIR for all Standard Chartered credit cards is the same at 27.9% p.a.

  1. Will the EIR change impact my Credit Bureau (“CBS”) rating?

Your CBS rating will not be impacted by the EIR change. However, please be reminded to make your credit card payments in full by each month’s due date to avoid negatively impacting your CBS rating.
