Notice on Charges for Cashier’s Order and Bank Draft for Dividends and/or Redemption Proceeds on Investments

We have previously waived charges for cashier’s order and bank draft for dividends and/ or redemption proceeds. Going forward an administrative fee of (i) SGD5 for cashiers’ orders issued in SGD and (ii) a minimum of USD20 for bank drafts in foreign currency will be imposed. This is in line with the current charges set out in our Bank’s Pricing Guide located at https://av.sc.com/sg/content/docs/sg-scb-pricing-guide.pdf. These fees will be deducted directly from the dividends and/ or redemption proceeds, and the net amount will be returned to you via cashier’s orders and/or bank drafts.

To avoid such charges, you may visit a branch to set up a current or savings account in the respective currencies so as to facilitate the direct crediting of your dividends and proceeds.

Imposition of the fees is effective from 01 May 2018 and there will be no fees levied on your cashier’s orders and bank drafts until the effective date.
