Important Information: Enhanced Security on your Credit Card Accounts

 

Protecting your finances and personal data are of utmost importance to us. We have enhanced our data security system to increase controls around your credit card account data to reduce credit card fraud.

 

From 06 March 2022, you will see that your credit cards accounts will be partially masked in all your statements. Please refer to the example given below on how this will look like on your statement headers and tables as such:

 

Why is the Bank partially masking my credit card accounts in my statements?

 

Protecting your finances and personal data are of utmost importance to us. With this, your account number will not be easily; fully accessible, which helps to increase security controls around your credit card account data to reduce any credit card fraud or privacy breach.

 

Can I opt out of this masking exercise?

 

No. This security feature Is part of our enhancement to protect your credit card account data to reduce credit card fraud.

 

How do I locate my credit card account number if they are partially masked?

 

Not to worry, you will be able to locate your credit card account number via the following methods:

  • Method 1: Physical Credit Card

Your full 16-digit credit card can be found on your physical version of your credit card.

  • Method 2: Mobile Banking / SC Mobile

Your full 16-digit credit card can be found in your ‘Accounts’ menu after you log into your personal account.

 

Do I need to register for this additional security feature?

 

No. The masking will be automatically enabled for all your SCB credit cards.

 

Is there a fee for this service?

 

No. This security feature Is part of our enhancement to protect your credit card account data to reduce credit card fraud.
