Revision of Product Terms for Cancellation and Termination of Credit Card

What’s New?
We are making changes to the Credit Card Terms to reflect the inclusion of a new Clause 9.16 and amendments to Clause 10.4 of the Credit Card Terms for Standard Chartered Bank (Singapore) Limited to send, after the termination or ending of your credit card account(s), at least one statement for your credit card account that has been terminated or ended, including but not limited to, when after the termination or ending of the account of your credit card, the terminated or ended account for your credit card has a credit or debit balance. These changes will take effect on 1 December 2020 (inclusive of this date).

Further details are set out below.

The following will be added to the Credit Card Terms as a new Clause 9.16:

You consent and agree to us sending, after the termination or ending of the account for your credit card, at least one statement for your credit card account that has been terminated or ended, to the address or email that we have on file for you when your credit card account was terminated or ended, including but not limited to, when after the termination or ending of the account for your credit card, the terminated or ended account for your credit card has a credit or debit balance.

Corresponding changes have been made to Clause 10.4 for the new Clause 9.16 to survive the termination of our banking agreement.

The updated Credit Card Terms will take effect on 1 December 2020 (inclusive of this date).
