1. Who can enjoy this Complimentary Air Tickets Upgrade Programme?

Principal Cardholders of the Beyond Credit Card are eligible for this exclusive benefit.

 

2. How do I redeem the Complimentary Air Ticket Upgrade?

You will receive a similar push notification via the SC Mobile app as such:

Click on “Redeem now” to access your redemption e-voucher codes. To utilise this benefit, call the Beyond Concierge and provide the redemption e-voucher code(s).

For a smooth redemption process, do also prepare the following information which may be requested by Beyond Concierge:

  • Beyond Credit Card details
  • Travellers’ passport details;
  • Flight itinerary details, including airlines, dates, all accompanying passenger information and frequent flyer membership details, etc.; and
  • Any special requests.

Do note that you may also be prompted to register for an account on Mastercard Travel and Lifestyle Services to avail this benefit.

 

3. What am I entitled to under this Complimentary Air Tickets Upgrade Programme?

  • For every two (2) paid Business Class tickets and up to two (2) paid Premium Economy Class tickets charged to your Beyond Credit Card, you may upgrade the said Premium Economy Class ticket(s) to a Business Class ticket(s).
  • The paid Premium Economy Class ticket(s) must be on non-restricted fare types only.
  • The upgraded ticket is subject to the most restricted fare type of the respective airline’s Business Class.
  • A maximum of two (2) upgrades may be redeemed in one flight itinerary;
  • You and your travel companion(s) using the Complimentary Air Ticket Upgrade(s) must be travelling on the same flight itinerary.

 

4. Which airlines are covered under this Programme? What happens if my selected airline does not have a corresponding Premium Economy Class or Business Class?

This Programme is only applicable to flights that offer both Premium Economy and Business Class options. Should you like to utilise the Programme, do make sure that your chosen flight itinerary meets all the qualifying requirements.

 

5. What does non-restricted and most restricted fare type mean?

Non-restricted fare type refers to the most expensive fare type of a booking class, and most restricted fare type refers to the least expensive fare type of a booking class.

The fare type determines your checked baggage allowance, ability to change or cancel your booking, select your preferred seat and more.

6. What if the fare types for the paid and/or upgraded ticket(s) are sold out for my desired flight itinerary?

If the fare types are sold out, you will not be able to utilise the Programme. You may consider an alternative date/timing which fits all the qualifying requirements.

 

7. Are there any conditions pertaining to my flight itinerary?

  • The flight itinerary must start and end in the same city.
  • Only one (1) layover of less than 24 hours is permitted.
  • Open tickets, open returns, circle trips, stopovers and round-the-world trips are not permitted.

 

8. What does a layover mean?

A layover is short stop at a place/city en route to your final destination. For the purpose of this Programme, an eligible layover refers to any one (1) stop between your start and end destination which lasts for less than 24 hours for international flights or less than four hours for domestic flights.

 

9. What do open tickets, open returns, circle trips and stopovers mean?

  • Open tickets refer to air tickets with no fixed travel dates or times, but a pre-determined validity period.
  • Open returns refer to flexible air tickets with no date or time of return specified.
  • Circle trips refers to trips in which the start and end destination of the flight itinerary is the same, but involves multiple stopovers between.
  • Stopovers refer to long stops at a place/city en route to your final destination which lasts for more than 24 hours. For example, if you are travelling from Singapore to Paris and stay at Dubai for multiple days while waiting for your connecting flight to Paris, it is considered as a stopover.

 

10. How long are the redemption e-voucher codes valid for?

The redemption e-voucher codes are issued on the approval date of the Beyond Credit Card every year, and are valid for one (1) year each.

12. Can this Programme be combined with other promotions or discounts?

This Programme cannot be stacked with other promotions, discounts, offers, or internet fares.

 

13. Will taxes, surcharges, and fees be covered by the Complimentary Air Ticket Upgrade?

Taxes, surcharges, and other fees are not covered by the upgrade and will be charged to the Beyond Credit Card.

 

14. Can changes or cancellations be made to my original itinerary?

Changes or cancellations are subject to the respective airline’s terms and conditions. Any requests for modifications must be made at least 24 hours prior to departure; otherwise, they will not be accepted. Any changes in routing will be at the cardholder’s expense, including amendment or cancellation fees, taxes, surcharges, and any difference in ticket prices.

 

15. Are the upgraded tickets transferable?

The upgraded tickets are non-transferable and non-endorsable.
