April to June 2025 – New to Standard Chartered Credit Card Promotion Terms and Conditions

  1. This Q2 2025 – New to Standard Chartered Credit Card Promotion (the “Promotion”) is available from 1 April 2025 – 30 June 2025 (both dates inclusive) (the “Promotion Period“), unless otherwise extended or otherwise terminated in accordance with these terms and conditions.

Eligibility – New credit cardholders

  1. To qualify for this Promotion, you must apply for one (1) of the following eligible cards (each an “Eligible Card”) through https://www.sc.com/sg/credit-cards/, SC Referral Club, SC Online Banking or SC Mobile app, issued by Standard Chartered Bank (Singapore) Limited (“Standard Chartered” or the “Bank”) as a principal cardholder between 1 April to 30 June 2025:
    1. Simply Cash Credit Card; or
    2. Smart Credit Card

You must be a new Standard Chartered principal cardholder. In other words, you must not have any existing or previously cancelled Standard Chartered credit cards in the last 12 months;

Prevailing and Bonus Interest Rates

  1. Standard Chartered must receive your application for the Eligible Card within the Promotion Period. Notwithstanding the foregoing, Standard Chartered may continue to process any application received by Standard Chartered up to 14 calendar days after the end of the Promotion Period, and Standard Chartered shall retain the sole and absolute discretion to determine the eligibility of these applications and/or allow the said applications for the purposes of this Promotion on a case-to-case basis, subject to these terms and conditions;
  1. Your Eligible Card application must be approved by Standard Chartered within 14 calendar days after the Promotion Period, where such approval is final and unconditional;
  1. You must activate either the digital or physical version of the Eligible Card within 30 days of the card approval date. The Eligible Card account must, within three (3) months of the Eligible Card account opening date, be valid (i.e. the Eligible Card account must not be suspended, cancelled and/or terminated), in good standing, and conducted in a proper and satisfactory manner as determined by Standard Chartered in its sole and absolute discretion.
  2.  If you satisfy all the eligibility criteria set out in Clause 2 you will be eligible for a cashback of S$100 Cashback and a Samsonite MODUS 25’’ Luggage worth S$610 (“Welcome Gift”) if you charge at least S$800 of Eligible Transactions (as defined in Clause 8) to the Eligible Card within 60 days of card approval.
  3. For the avoidance of doubt, there is no cap to the number of Eligible Cardholders that may qualify for this Promotion during the Promotion Period.
  4.  An “Eligible Transaction”, for the purposes of this Promotion, is a transaction which is charged and posted to the Eligible Card within 60 days of the date the application for the Eligible Card is approved pursuant to this Promotion. For the purposes of this Promotion, the transactions listed in https://www.sc.com/sg/terms-and-conditions/cc-retail-transaction-exclusions/ will not be considered as Eligible Transactions.
  5. By qualifying for and participating in the Promotion, you consent to us sending you a notification by way of either SMS or SC Mobile Push Notification (the “Redemption SMS/Push Notification”), if you are eligible for the Welcome Gift, within 90 calendar days of the latest date of fulfilment for all the conditions set out above. You also consent to the collection, use and/or disclosure of your personal data (including the last four digits of your NRIC/passport number) by the Bank and/or relevant third parties (including but not limited to the merchants supplying the Gift, the merchants delivering the Gift (to the extent that such delivery option is made available to you), and/or merchants administering the redemption of the Gift) necessary for the purposes of administering the redemption of the Gift and/or delivering the Gift. Your personal data will be processed in line with the Bank’s privacy statement available at https://www.sc.com/sg/privacy/. By redeeming the Gift, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions stated herein and in the Bank’s Redemption Terms and Conditions (details of which will be provided to you should you qualify for the Gift).

General

  1. Unless otherwise stated, this Promotion is not valid with other offers, discounts, rebates, vouchers, privileges or promotions.
  2. The Welcome Gift is not exchangeable for cash or any other items and is non-transferable and non-assignable.
  3. If the Bank at any time determines (at its sole and absolute discretion) that any of the eligibility requirements set out in Clauses 2 through 8 above was not or has not been complied with but any cashback has been received by you, the Bank reserves the right to recover any / all cashback or the value of any / all cashback from you.
  4. Standard Chartered reserves the right to do any of the following without prior notice:
    1. modify, terminate, withdraw, shorten, suspend or extend this Promotion at the Bank’s sole and absolute discretion, with or without prior notice or reason; and/or
    2. vary, modify, revise, add or delete any of the terms of the Promotion. You agree and consent to be bound by any such variation, modification, revision, addition or deletion.
  5. These Promotion Terms and Conditions are to be read in conjunction with our Customer Terms, Credit Card Terms and any other specific Product Terms that may be relevant in connection with this Promotion (“Other Terms”). In the event of any inconsistency between these Promotion Terms and the Other Terms, these terms prevail only to the extent of such inconsistency.
  6. Standard Chartered is not responsible for any failure or delay in the transmission of any transaction by any party, including acquiring merchants, merchant establishments or any telecommunication provider.
  7. Standard Chartered makes no warranty or representation as to the quality, merchantability or fitness for purpose of the goods and services bought and accepts no liability for the services provided by any merchant or service provider. Any dispute about the same must be resolved directly with the merchant or service provider.
  8. Standard Chartered reserves the right to determine at its sole and absolute discretion all matters arising out of or in connection with this Promotion, including:
    1. your eligibility to participate in this Promotion;
    2. your eligibility to receive any cashback under this Promotion; and/or
    3. calculation of the cashback you receive under this Promotion.

Standard Chartered’s determination of all matters relating to this Promotion shall be final and conclusive and no correspondence will be entertained.

  1. By applying for an Eligible Card pursuant to this Promotion, you consent to the use of your personal data for marketing purposes, including but not limited to the use of your telephone number and email address to contact you about products and promotions offered by the Bank from time to time via telephone, SMS or Electronic Direct Mail. Such consent will supersede any prior choices made by you. Such consent will also prevail even if you are registered or subsequently register your contact information with the national Do Not Call Registry.
  2. A person who is not a party to these Promotion Terms and Conditions has no right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act (Cap. 53B) to enforce any of these Promotion Terms and Conditions.
  3. These Promotion Terms and Conditions and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Promotion Terms and Conditions, shall be governed by and are to be construed in accordance with, the laws of the Republic of Singapore and you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Singapore.
