Eligibility

Credit Cards

  • Standard Chartered Cathay Mastercard – Priority Banking
    • Client is required to be an existing Priority Banking client or a New Banking Client who signs up for Priority Banking upon card application; and
    • maintain HKD1,000,000 or above Average Daily Relationship Balance starting from the second calendar month from card issuance date
  • Standard Chartered Cathay Mastercard – Priority Private
    • Client is required to be an existing Priority Private client or a New Banking Client who signs up for Priority Private upon card application; and
    • maintain HKD8,000,000 or above Average Daily Relationship Balance starting from the second calendar month from card issuance date.

Banking Plans

  • Priority Banking
    • Minimum average daily Relationship Balance HKD1,000,000 or above; or
    • Minimum monthly salary HKD80,000 or above#; or
    • Mortgage outstanding amount of HKD5,000,000 or above*

    #Applicable to new banking clients only. New payroll client is required to start using the auto-payroll services successfully with the Bank within 2 months from Priority Banking sign-up. New Clients can enjoy first 2-quarter maintenance fee waiver.  After the expiration of maintenance fee waiver offer, if the average daily Relationship Balance of the client within the quarter falls below HKD1,000,000, a maintenance fee of HKD900 will be charged for the quarter.     *First 2 years quarterly maintenance fee of Priority Banking will be waived for mortgage clients (borrower or co-borrower).

  • Priority Private
    • Maintain an average Total Balance at HKD8 million or above

Remarks:
  1. “New Client” refers to a client who did NOT, in the past 12 months from the date of the current sign up for Priority Private/Priority Banking, hold any product or service with or distributed by the Bank (including but not limited to deposit account (in the case of joint account, unless the new client is a primary account holder to the joint account, he/she will not be considered having held any product or service with or distribution by the Bank), investment services and insurance products underwritten by the third party insurer) except Standard Chartered Credit Cards. “Standard Chartered Credit Cards” refer to Standard Chartered Credit Card, Standard Chartered Co-branded Card, MANHATTAN Credit Card and MANHATTAN Co-branded Card issued by the Bank, including supplementary cards, Standard Chartered Business Card and Standard Chartered Corporate Card.
  2. “Existing Client” eligible for Welcome Privileges of Priority Banking refers to a client who, as of the last day of two months prior to the date of the current sign up for Priority Banking, (i) held any products or services with or distributed by the Bank (including but not limited to deposit account (in the case of joint account, unless the existing client is a primary account holder to the joint account, he/she will not be considered having held any product or service with or distribution by the Bank), investment services and insurance products underwritten by the third party insurer) except Standard Chartered Credit Cards, and (ii) maintained a positive Total Balance. “Existing Client” eligible for Welcome Privileges of Priority Private refers to a client who, as of 31 October 2024 , (i) held any products or services with or distributed by the Bank (including but not limited to deposit account (in the case of joint account, unless the existing client is a primary account holder to the joint account, he/she will not be considered having held any product or service with or distribution by the Bank), investment services and insurance products underwritten by the third party insurer) except Standard Chartered Credit Cards, and (ii) maintained a positive Total Balance.

  5. Miles in this Offer will be credited to client’s Asia Miles membership accounts associated with his/her Standard Chartered Cathay Mastercard – Priority Private / Standard Chartered Cathay Mastercard – Priority Banking.
  6. Welcome Privileges of Priority Banking are only applicable to clients who have not been Priority Private or Priority Banking clients in the past 12 months. Welcome Privileges of Priority Private are only applicable to clients who (i) have not been Priority Private or Priority Banking clients in the past 12 months or (ii) sign up for Priority Private on or before the last day of the next calendar month from the date of signing up for Priority Banking.
  7. New Clients can enjoy first 2-quarter maintenance fee waiver. Existing Clients can enjoy first 4-quarter maintenance fee waiver. After the expiration of maintenance fee waiver offer, if the average daily Relationship Balance of the client within the quarter falls below HKD1,000,000, a maintenance fee of HKD900 will be charged for the quarter.
