SCratch & Win Promotion Terms and Conditions (“Promotion Terms and Conditions”)

Eligibility

  1. The SCratch & Win Promotion (“Promotion”) is available from 6 September 2024 to 13 October 2024 (both dates inclusive) (“Promotion Period”). The Promotion is open to all existing and newly onboarded customers. Each bank customer shall be referred to as an “Eligible Customer” , and collectively, “Eligible Customers” . By participating in the Promotion, Eligible Customers agree to be bound by the Promotion Terms and Conditions.
  2. Unless otherwise stated, the Promotion is not valid with other offers, discounts, rebates, vouchers, privileges or promotions.
  3. For an Eligible Customer to be eligible for the Promotion, his/her Savings/Current account(s) and Card account(s) must not be suspended, cancelled and/or terminated, and must be in good standing, and conducted in a proper and satisfactory manner, as determined by Standard Chartered Bank (Singapore) Limited (“Bank” or “we”) in its sole discretion, for the entire duration of the Promotion Period .

Participation

  1. To participate in the Promotion, an Eligible Customer must: (1) be a registered and valid user of the Standard Chartered Mobile Banking app (“SC Mobile app”) and (2) enable the option to receive Banking and Marketing alerts via Push Notifications (as defined below) on his/her mobile phone and SC Mobile app.
  2. To successfully register for the Promotion, an Eligible Customer must register for the Promotion during the Promotion Period by clicking on the ‘Register now’ button found in a Push Notification summarising the details of the Promotion (“Promotion Invitation”). For the avoidance of doubt, the Promotion Invitation will only be broadcasted from 6 September 2024 onwards, and the frequency of such broadcast will be at the Bank’s determination.
  3. Upon clicking on the ‘Register now’ button in the Promotion Invitation, the customer will be registered for the Promotion. Such successfully registered customer(s ) will be referred to as a “Registered Customer ”.
  4. Eligible Customers are required to register only once to participate in the promotion.
  5. If the Eligible Customer misses the initial Push Notification, he/she may access the Promotion Invitation through the following alternatives within SC Mobile app:
    1. notification inbox, or;
    2. ‘Discover’ tab, provided that there have been PayNow or Bill Payment transactions incurred on the account(s) in the last 60 days.
  1. The Bank will not accept any registration for the Promotion that is before or after the Promotion Period. All such registrations will be considered by the Bank to be invalid, and the Bank’s determination shall be final and conclusive.
  2. The speed and reliability of service of the Eligible Customer’s internet and/or mobile connection is dependent solely on his/her respective internet and/or mobile service providers. The Bank will not be responsible for any losses suffered as a result of any delay or failure in the transmission, or any failure to successfully register for the Promotion.
  3. By registering for and participating in the Promotion, the Registered Customer consents to the use of his/her personal data for marketing purposes, including but not limited to the use of his/her telephone number and email address to contact him/her about products and promotions offered by the Bank via telephone, SMS or email. Such consent will supersede any prior choices made by the Registered Customer.

Promotion Mechanics

  1. During the Promotion Period, the Registered Customer must make at least one of the following actions set out in the table below (each a “Qualifying Transaction”) via the SC Mobile app to earn game coins to exchange for a scratch card (a “Scratch Card”) . Every 10 game coins can be exchanged for 1 Scratch Card.

  1. For purposes of the Promotion, Transfer Amounts are retail transactions that:
    1. have a transaction date falling within the Promotion Period;
    2. have been successfully posted to the Registered Customer’s valid account(s) by the end of the Promotion Period; and
    3. are not excluded transactions (as set out at Clause 25 below).
  2. Each Registered Customer can only earn Game Coins for a maximum of 1 qualifying PayNow transfer and 1 qualifying Bill Payment per day. For example, if a Registered Customer makes 2 qualifying Bill Payments in a day, he/she will only earn 5 Game Coins.
  3. Subject to Clause 14 above, each Qualifying Transaction made during the Promotion Period will be randomly assigned a “Scratch Card” by an automated computerised system. The “Scratch Card” can be accessed via a unique URL that is sent in a Push Notification (“Push Notification”) to the Registered Customer’s SC Mobile app.
  4. The Registered Customer who receives the Push Notification (“Winning Customer”) can then “scratch” the Scratch Card via the unique URL in the Push Notification to win any one of the following prizes:
    1. S$1 NTUC vouchers;
    2. S$2 NTUC vouchers;
    3. S$3 NTUC vouchers;
    4. S$5 NTUC vouchers;
    5. 3 game coins; or
    6. 5 game coins

(each a “Prize” and collectively, “Prizes”). For the avoidance of doubt, if a Registered Customer does not receive any Push Notification, he/she will not be entitled to any of the Prizes above.

  1. There will be a total of 23,200 Prizes available to be won for the Promotion, in the following quantities:

The Promotion is subject and limited to the availability of the Prizes above. Once all the Prizes have been issued, you will not be able to use any of your remaining game coins to redeem scratch cards.

  1. The Prizes allocated to the scratch cards will be chosen by a computer programme designed specifically for the purpose of the Promotion at 9 Changi Business Park Crescent, Standard Chartered Bank @ Changi 2, Singapore 486005. The computer programme will randomly allocate Prizes to the Scratch Cards in real time when a Scratch Card is issued.
  2. We reserve the discretion to change any of the Prize allocation mechanics without giving prior notice or reason.
  3. If the Winning Customer does not scratch the Scratch Card within the Promotion Period , the unclaimed Prize will not be credited to the Winning Customers.

General

  1. The Prizes awarded under the Promotion cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash or credit.
  2. The Bank will not compensate or replace any lost, misplaced or stolen Prizes.
  3. The Bank reserves the right to substitute the Prizes with any item of equivalent or similar value, without prior notice or reason.
  4. If Eligible Customers dismiss any Promotion Invitation(s) or Push Notifications, the Bank will not reinstate or reissue them.
  5. The following transactions charged to a Registered Customer will not be considered a Qualifying Transactions (“Excluded Transactions”, each an “Excluded Transaction”):
    1. Insurance premiums, including premiums for investment-linked policies or any transactions pertaining to Merchant Category Codes 6300 (Insurance Sales, Underwriting, and Premiums), 5960 (Direct Marketing – Insurance Services);
    2. Any payment of credit card bills including SC credit cards;
    3. Any payment via AXS network;
    4. Any payment via SAM network;
    5. Payments to government agencies which include but are not limited to Land Transport Authority, Housing Development Board, Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore, Public Utilities Board, Immigration & Checkpoints Authority and the Ministry of Manpower, or any transactions pertaining to Merchant Category Codes 9399 (Government Services; Not Elsewhere Classified);
    6. Income tax payments;
    7. Any bill payment made using the SC EasyBill bill payment programme;
    8. Any top-ups or payment of funds to any prepaid cards (with the exception of EZ-Reload), prepaid accounts, digital wallets including but not limited to Grab, Singtel Dash, WorldRemit Singapore, YouTrip or any other accounts as the Bank may specify from time to time
    9. Any top-ups or payment of funds which are classified under Merchant Category Codes 6012 (Financial Institutions – Merchandise, Services, and Debt Repayment) and/or 6540 (or Non-Financial Institutions – Stored Value Card Purchase/Load);
    10. Any transactions pertaining to Merchant Category Codes 6211 (Security Brokers/Dealers), 7995 (Gambling/Lotto) and 6051 (Non-Financial Institutions – Foreign Currency, Non-Fiat Currency (for example: Cryptocurrency), Travelers Cheques, and Debt Repayment);
    11. Balance transfers (or funds transfers), instalment loans and cash advances (including AnytimeCash), purchases via NETS and ongoing instalment payments (including EasyPay);
    12. Any amount charged to any of the Bank issued credit cards of the Registered Customer during the Promotion Period that is subsequently cancelled, voided or reversed; and
    13. Balance owing on the Registered Customer’s credit card accounts from other months.
    14. Incoming PayNow transfers from the Registered Customer’s own SC account
  6. All eligible retail transactions must be charged and posted to the Registered Customer by the end of the Promotion Period. The Bank is not responsible for any failure or delay in the transmission of the transactions by any third party.
  7. The Bank may vary any of the Promotion Terms and Conditions at any time with or without prior notice or reason.
  8. The Bank may determine all matters relating to the Promotion, and the Bank’s findings shall be final and conclusive.
  9. The Bank may clawback any Prizes which have been issued, or deduct the equivalent value from any of the Registered Customer’s account with the Bank if the Bank finds that the Registered Customer was not entitled to receive the Prizes. The Bank may determine such eligibility at its discretion.
  10. The Bank shall not be responsible for any losses you may incur from participating in this Promotion or using any of the Prize(s).
  11. The Promotion Terms and Conditions are to be read together with our Customer Terms, Privacy Notice, Credit Card Terms, and any other applicable terms and conditions (collectively “Other Terms”). If there is any inconsistency between the Promotion Terms and Conditions and the Other Terms, the Promotion Terms & Conditions will apply to the extent of the inconsistency.
  12. If there is any inconsistency between these Promotion Terms and Conditions and any other marketing or promotional materials relating to the Promotion, these Promotion Terms and Conditions will apply.
  13. A person who is not a party to the Promotion Terms and Conditions has no right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 2001 to enforce any of the Promotion Terms and Conditions.
  14. The Promotion Terms and Conditions is governed by the laws Singapore. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore Courts.
